I have been a fan of Pink Floyd since the late 60's, matching my coming of age with their ascendance throughout the 70's. Considering their status, I thought I would give Larry Omaha a go as I had heard good things about their show, since the chance to ever see them again live was long past. They blew me away, pleasantly surprised by the variety that they covered spanning the bands vast repertoire. Completely in sync with one another throughout the performance, the virtuosity of the members was frankly overwhelming. Enjoyed all the hits, but when it came time for solos, each one displayed their talents with a subtle and honest beauty. Standing ovation for their fantastic performance. Especially the female lead soloist was fantastic. The venue was The Met in Philly and I would be hard pressed to believe such a solo has hit home, with the audience, more than that, in this awesome acoustical wonder. I have not been submersed in a musical experience like that in years and attend concerts regularly. I will watch for their return and am already looking forward to it. I went to several of their shows during those years.
